Many homeowners are surprised at the difference in their monthly heating bills (once they have upgraded to a high efficiency furnace). Our most popular furnace is a 98% AFUE rated furnace which means that out of every dollar you spend heating your home, only 2 cents is wasted. Wow! Your current furnace may only be operating at 60 or 70% AFUE so you don’t have to be a math major to understand you’re spending more money than you should.

If you’re looking for a cooling solution for your home, you have 2 choices: 1) air conditioning unit or 2) heat pump. Since our weather in the Portland area isn’t extremely hot, a heat pump is a great choice as it offers both heating and cooling (works with your gas furnace to provide more efficient heating). Heat pumps are extremely efficient as they only transfer energy (not create it) and it takes less energy to move heat than to create it.
For those of you not familiar with a heat pump, it works like an air conditioner except that it is able to reverse itself to provide heating as well. In the summer, it moves heat out of your house to cool it. In the winter, it pulls heat from the outside air or ground and moves it into your house to heat it.
The Luxaire Climasure series has a heat pump and air conditioner that deliver comfort at an affordable price, which is probably why they are our best-selling models.
Both the heat pump and the air conditioner offer the following benefits.
